If money was no object:

Name: Johnny Mayes

Where are you from: Big Cabin/ Vinita, Oklahoma

What drives you to work in recovery: Coming from a life of addiction. I like to see faces of fear and pain transform into faces of hope and peace, through the loving touch of Jesus Christ.

Involvement in HHR: I offer words of encouragement from my experience. And show people the ‘but God’ effect. As well as lead Christ based recovery meetings.

If money was no object what would I spend the next year doing: I would build treatment centers for men as well as women and mothers with their children, along with sober living housing that offered vocational training. So the individual and or family could regain independence and transition back to society as a functioning member of that society.

Harvesting Hope Recovery Mission Statement: To provide faith-based recovery in our community supported by programs emphasizing self-sustainable food security.
